From Web2 to Web3
Web2 refers to the version of the internet most of us know today. An internet dominated by companies that provide services in exchange for your personal data. Web3, in the context of Ethereum or Solana, refers to decentralized apps that run on the blockchain.
Web3: Intro
Web3.0 is the forthcoming third generation of the internet where websites and apps will be suitable to process information in a smart way through technologies like machine learning (ML), Big Data, decentralized ledger technology (DLT), etc. Web3.0 was firstly called the Semantic Web by World Wide Web innovator Tim Berners-Lee, and was aimed at being a more independent, intelligent, and open internet.
The Web3.0 description can be expanded as follows data will be connected in a decentralized way, which would be a huge vault forward to our current generation of the internet ( Web2), where data is substantially stored in centralized depositories.
